Buyer Trainee – Curricular Internship

We are looking for a young person to be placed within the Supply Chain Department of CFT Group in the role of Buyer Trainee in curricular internship. The identified resource will follow a period of internal training alongside an experienced colleague and will work in support of the department.


CFT Group offers the opportunity to host undergraduates during their curricular internship aimed, if necessary, at writing their thesis. CFT Group places great trust in young people and for this reason offers a training course that aims at the insertion of the new resource into the organizational context. Our main goal is to create the best possible conditions for the student to be able to express his or her abilities and potential.

We are looking for a young person to be placed within the Supply Chain Department of CFT Group in the role of Buyer Trainee in curricular internship. The identified resource will follow a period of internal training alongside an experienced colleague and will work in support of the department.


What you will support:

The two main areas of activity in which the resource will be involved are:

Purchasing / Purchasing Flow

  • Implementation of direct material solicitation flow for key suppliers (support Buyers to create/maintain reference files and actively interface with suppliers);
  • Support for purchasing data maintenance/population such as price lists, lead time, supplier part number (data mining and data entry);
  • Possible support for RDO (request for proposal) phase.

Purchasing/Supply Chain Strategies

  • Supply/supplier type mapping and management;
  • Supporting strategy decision management (historical purchasing database analysis, last months performace).
  • Supporting the monitoring of related KPIs.

The resource will then actively interface with suppliers, provide support to the team in highlighted critical areas, and possibly create supporting databases.


To be Successful inthis Role:

  • Graduate student in the field of management engineering;
  • Good knowledge of English language;
  • Good command of Excel;
  • Dynamism and motivation.

Possible thesis area:

  • Asset management using LEAN methodologies ( Gemba Board Daily Visual Management, Problem Solving);
  • Management of purchasing strategies in a multinational environment.
