2. What are the Latest CFT Innovations in Tomato Processing
Our solutions are ideal for large companies that want to excel in the world of tomato processing and packaging. We offer complete lines for the production of tomato paste, sauce, passata, diced tomatoes, and peeled tomatoes.
In 2024, we launched two major projects related to tomato processing: the development of our new ART3MIS Longrun MVR™ evaporator and the launch of CFT Digital Tomato™, the innovative IoT solution that monitors and optimizes the tomato processing line, maximizing efficiency, reducing downtime, and improving product quality.
Each of these innovations is designed to address the specific challenges of the tomato processing industry, including high energy consumption and the complexity of production processes concentrated in short seasonal periods. Solving these problems is essential to reduce operating costs and maintain market competitiveness.

4. CFT Success Stories in Tomato Processing
Our latest ART3MIS Longrun MVR™ evaporator was installed for the first time at Empresas Carozzi S.A. in Chile in February 2024, addressing the need to increase tomato processing capacity and reduce energy consumption. You can read the full article on Tomato News.
This evaporator, positioned between the Apollo pre-evaporator and the Venus finishing evaporator, uses advanced MVR technology and a falling film design to concentrate the product from 8.5 to 14-16 brix, removing over 80% of the water. Operating with almost zero steam consumption and relying mainly on electricity, it ensures significant energy savings and CO2 emission reductions, setting new standards for efficiency and quality.
The collaboration with Empresas Carozzi is just one of many CFT success stories. Other projects include collaboration with Agriconserve Rega in Italy for a custom tomato concentration plant, large plants in Ivory Coast for the Carré d’Or group, and a multifunction line for tomatoes and fruit for Patagonia Fresh in Chile.

6. Future Prospects in the Tomato Market
According to Tomato News in 2023/2024, exports of tomato-based products from Italy have seen a significant recovery after three years of decline.
Exports of tomato paste have almost reached 800,000 tons, approaching the historic record of 2019/2020. This increase has led to a 15% rise in sales value, reaching 1.3 billion euros. The main growth markets have been Libya, Austria, France, the United States, and Canada, offsetting declines in countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
